The 2010 Limerick St Patrick’s Festival will celebrate everything that is great about the Treaty City with an I LOVE LIMERICK theme, it was announced today.
Festival organisers are hoping that a spectacle of colour and sound will fill the streets of Limerick with a parade that celebrates all that the Riverside City has to offer.
The theme of I Love Limerick can be interpreted in a number of ways, participants can decide to design a float/entry to show their pride in their home city, their school, business, sports club or community event so there is plenty of scope to be creative.
Children from senior infants in St Patrick’s Girls National School on the Dublin Road launched the theme of the parade today (Monday) with a giant green heart which they created and will enter as part of their festival entry for March 17th.
