Leon Fleisher has the most famous right hand in classical music - famous because for 30 years of his life it didn’t work! Hailed as “the pianistic find of the century” in this teens, he enjoyed a fifteen year period of worldwide acclaim in the 1950s and 60s, before a neurological disease lost him the use of his right hand.

The RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra is joined by two stunning soloists for an evening of dramatic, beautiful music, ending with a bang!

Limerick born Mairead Buicke, one of Ireland’s top young sopranos, is the soloist in Barber’s Knoxville, singing of that lazy summer of 1915, the swing on the back-porch, the streetcar rattling by…..

Then expect fireworks from Tchaikovsky! The wonderful Scottish violin star Nicola Benedetti makes a welcome return to Limerick, joining the RTÉ NSO for the red-blooded romantic virtuosity of his Violin Concerto.
