Nine Year Old Elise is Limerick’s Most Promising Photographer Posted on May 7th, 2009
Nine year old Elise Griffin from Galvone National School in Limerick city has been awarded the title of Most Promising Photographer at the 2009 Limerick I Love children’s photographic exhibition.
Elise, along with 15 other Limerick schoolchildren will be presented with their prizes, tomorrow, Friday, May 8th by the Mayor of Limerick, Cllr John Gilligan.
The children’s pictures were judged by award winning photographers Owen South, Limerick Leader and Liam Burke, Press 22.
Elise has won a digital camera for herself and a trip to Bunratty Folk Park for her class for her picture “Ready for Action” an image of three smiling young hurlers.
Roman Petuov, 11, from Scoil Mhathair De also won a digital camera for “Limerick Lights Me Up” as did 12 year old Dearbhla Walsh from St Brigid’s National School for her picture “Waiting for Mate on Shannon”
